About the Instructor

I created this course because despite the policy through lines that undergird all mission-oriented organizations, many leaders do not see themselves as policy leaders. I am going to convince you that at any layer of leadership in which you serve, you are a policy leader! Through my thirty-five years of work in equity-focused policies and organizational leadership, I've seen firsthand how leaders who get clear on their policy voice build strategic relationships that give them the power to influence with disproportionate impact. I'm excited to share what I've learned leading at the local, state and national levels. Use the leadership framework I provide to teach your team how to lead more boldly. This learning module will help you become more aware of your assumptions and mindset about what is possible. My goal is for you to continuously produce better outcomes for your community.
